Blood flow in an aneurysm, in virtual reality
Simulating blood flow in an aneurysm before and after a stent is placed, then turning the results into a VR scene that clinicians and patients can both understand.

- Project
- Simulating a stent, then showing the result in VR

MATLAB to Blender3D model pipeline
Meta QuestVR presentation
The question
How does placing a stent change blood flow inside an aneurysm, and how can that be shown clearly to people who are not engineers?
What I did
- Prepared the vessel geometry and set up the flow cases in ANSYS.
- Ran the model before and after placing a stent in the parent vessel, and compared flow inside the aneurysm sac.
- Wrote MATLAB code to convert the ANSYS results into a 3D model (.obj).
- Built the scene in Blender and presented it on a Meta Quest headset and in PowerPoint.
- Designed the presentation for two audiences, clinicians and patients.
What I found
Turned complex flow data into a clear picture of the treatment outcome that specialists and non-specialists could both follow.
