About

Hello, I'm Parsa.

I'm a biomedical engineer based in London. My background sits between biology and engineering: I've spent more than 19 months doing hands-on lab work, and I'm just as comfortable building a finite element model or writing Python.

I started in biomedical engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, worked in a hospital supporting operating room equipment, then spent 15 months as a research assistant at the Motamed Cancer Research Institute, developing an electrochemical biosensor for COVID-19. At the University of Sheffield I completed an MSc in Biomedical Engineering, with a dissertation testing a new nanomaterial on bone cells.

Since then I've been building open-source tools that apply code and AI to medical problems, from sharpening X-rays to reading adverse event reports.
